The 28th Annual
Martin Luther King Day Community Celebration took place on Monday
January 18th, 2010.
Despite the 6 - 12"
of snow some people had to deal with to get there, we had a full house
to honor Martin Luther King Award recipient
Arnie Alpert, and the Martin Luther King Arts &
Writing Contest winners of the Lionel Washington Johnson Youth
Awards ,Danielle Lelio, Mercedes Murphy, Matt Segil, & Amanda
Martin of Lee, all students of Oyster River Middle School in Durham; and
Honorable Mentions Isabelle Beagen of Madbury, who also attends Oyster
River Middle School, and Jake Pierce Scarponi of Barrington, who attends
Barrington Middle School.
